My original goal, when I began this pursuit 35 years ago, was to determine the names of my eight great-grandparents, which I thought that would be enough information to satisfy my desire to find "my roots." Over 5,000 names later, the search just goes on and on. When one realizes you can never reach the end of your family tree, it becomes a lifetime passion to search for your ancestors.
