JOHN MOSELEY was married to PRISCILLA (last name unknown) in Shelby County, Illinois. He was born in South Carolina, died in Shelby County, Illinois (date unknown). It is not known when his wife died either.

John died without a will and over the next twelve years his estate was tied up in the courts. There were numerous administrators over the years, that were appointed by the court to handle his estate.
The first appointee was his son-in-law (husband of Elizabeth), Lindsay McMorris. He held the position until December 1857 when he resigned. John Howard, also his son-in-law, and husband of Eurena, was next appointed as the administrator in December of 1857.
His personal property was sold on March 21, 1857 with the following bills-of-sales.

In December 1869, twelve years after John Moseley's death, Marshall Howard made a final settlement, apparently the son of John and Eurena Howard.
It is believe
the estate was divided among what are believed to be his children, which are
named in the settlement, however their relationship is not confirmed in these
documents.
